Democrats confident Iraq withdrawal bill will be passed

April 26, 2007

Ignoring a presidential veto threat, Democrats in the US House of Representatives predict they have enough votes today to pass legislation requiring American troops to begin leaving Iraq by October 1.Before the vote, the overall commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, and other top defence officials will try to convince members in private sessions that a timetable would push Iraq into chaos.President George Bush has promised to veto the bill, guaranteeing a historic showdown between the Republican president and Democrats emboldened by last year’s election that handed them control of the US Congress. They attribute their victory to voter disgust over the continuing war.

“For the first time, the president will have to be accountable for this war in Iraq,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the House Democratic leader, said yesterday. “And he does not want to face that reality.”

The $124bn bill would finance the war in Iraq, among other things, but it would also trigger the withdrawal of US troops late this year. It sets a nonbinding goal of completing the pullout by April 1, 2008.

Troops could remain in Iraq after the 2008 date but only for limited noncombat missions, including counterterror operations and training Iraqi forces.

The bill, already negotiated with Senate leaders, is expected to reach the president’s desk as early as next week after a final Senate vote tomorrow.

“That means our commanders in the middle of a combat zone would have to take fighting directions from legislators 6,000 miles away” in Washington, Bush told reporters. “The result would be a marked advantage for our enemies and a greater danger for our troops.”

Whether Democratic leaders had enough votes to pass the bill in the House has been somewhat in question. The original House bill included a binding timeline that demanded an end to combat by September 2008. Several of the 218 members who approved the bill said they reluctantly agreed to back the binding timeline even though they wanted troops home sooner.

Many of these members said they would go along with the bill negotiated with the Senate in a bid for party unity.“We know the votes,” said Democratic Rep. Rahm Emanuel, chairman of the Democratic caucus. “We feel very good about where the caucus is.”House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Democrats will send Bush the bill in the hopes the president has a change of heart. Hoyer said they do not expect it.

“We are very, very hopeful that the president will sign that bill, will change his mind and come to the recognition that this bill does in fact set off a new policy for our engagement in Iraq.”

The vote comes a day after the White House and Democrats traded insults. Vice President Dick Cheney accused Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of personally pursuing a defeatist strategy in Iraq to win votes at home.

“Some Democratic leaders seem to believe that blind opposition to the new strategy in Iraq is good politics,” Cheney told reporters at the Capitol after attending the weekly Republican policy lunch. “Senator Reid himself has said that the war in Iraq will bring his party more seats in the next election.”

“It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage,” Cheney said.

Reid dryly dismissed Cheney’s comments. “I’m not going to get into a name-calling match with the administration’s chief attack dog,” he said.

UN: Baghdad security operation has failed

April 26, 2007

Sectarian violence continued to claim the lives of a large number of Iraqi civilians in Sunni Arab and Shiite neighbourhoods of Iraq’s capital, despite the coalition’s new Baghdad security plan, the UN said today. In its first human rights report since the security plan was launched on February 14 – and began increasing US and Iraqi troops levels in the capital – the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) said civilian casualties in the daily violence between January and March remained high, concentrated in and around Baghdad.American troops are facing increasing danger as they step up their presence in outposts and police stations in Baghdad and areas surrounding the city, as part of the security crackdown to which US President George Bush has committed an extra 30,000 troops.

Thousands of Iraqi soldiers are also being deployed in the streets of the capital in an attempt to pacify it.

“While government officials claimed an initial drop in the number of killings in the latter half of February following the launch of the Baghdad security plan, the number of reported casualties rose again in March,” the study said.

But UNAMI also said that for the first time since it began issuing quarterly reports on the human rights situation in Iraq, the new January 1-March 31 one did not contain overall mortality figures from Iraq’s Ministry of Health because it refused to release them.

“UNAMI emphasises again the utmost need for the Iraqi government to operate in a transparent manner, and does not accept the government’s suggestion that UNAMI used the (previous) mortality figures in an inappropriate fashion,” the report said. The UN agency said that after the publication of its last human rights report about Iraq on January 16, Prime Minister Nouri Maliki’s office told UNAMI its mortality figures were exaggerated, “although they were in fact official figures compiled and provided by a government ministry”.The new UNAMI report said that on March 1 Iraq’s Ministry of Interior announced that 1,646 civilians were killed in Iraq in February, most of them in Baghdad, but that “it is unclear on what basis these figures were compiled.”

UNAMI said that even though its current report’s evidence could not be numerically substantiated with government figures, it showed continued high levels of violence throughout the reporting period, including large scale indiscriminate killings and assassinations by insurgents, militias and other armed groups.

“In February and March, sectarian violence claimed the lives of large numbers of civilians, including women and children, in both Shia and Sunni neighbourhoods of Baghdad,” the report said.

Bush is “Reported” to be a MadMan.

April 26, 2007

Senior British civil servant David Keogh. a former communications and cipher officer at Number 10 Downing Street, is on trial at London’s Old Bailey, charged with violating the Official Secrets Act for leaking a classified report on an April 2004 meeting between George W. Bush and Tony Blair. The four page report referred to Bush as a “madman.” Keough is accused of slipping the report to parliamentary assistant Leo O’Connor, who then allegedly made it available to anti-war MP Anthony Clarke. O’Connor is also on trial for violating the Official Secrets Act. The Blair government accuses Keough of leaking the document to influence the 2004 presidential elections, a clear indication that Blair was interested in seeing Bush defeat his Democratic challenger John Kerry. The trial is shrouded in secrecy, a move seen as an attempt not to embarrass an already-tainted Blair.

Jews, Get Out of Israel

April 26, 2007

Idan Ben-Barak, who lives in Australia, tells fellow Israelis it’s time to leave Jewish State

They say that if you put a frog in a pot of lukewarm water and slowly heat up the water, the frog would not feel the gradual heating and be cooked without even attempting to jump out.For 60 years now we’ve been so scared of the Arabs – actually, why 60, 100 at least – that is the only thing we see. All the rest is marginal.

Corruption? Road accidents? Pollution? Poverty? Who cares about this nonsense? Two Qassam rockets just landed in Sderot and Ahmadinejad again made some belligerent statements. We’ve got action. Who has the energy to deal with the small stuff? And meanwhile, the country is crumbling in our fingers. Slowly but surely.

We already got used to it: There’s no minister who isn’t facing a police investigation. Every police chief comes with a scandal and every IDF chief of staff is a failure. The universities are suffocating, while colleges are flourishing. Everyone is studying law and business management in order to learn about how to move money.

Anyone who’s worth anything in science and technology goes abroad to pursue a career, because there are no research budgets in Israel. And let’s say we’re able to give rise to and even keep two or three brilliant minds here, what exactly are we going to do with all those ultra-Orthodox guys who study Torah instead of serving in the army or working? Who will keep Israel afloat in 15 years?

We tried to build a country that would be a safe place for the Jewish people and that would allow us to live there in peace. It didn’t work out. It turns out we can’t have it all. Perhaps it’s something about the Jewish character, or perhaps it’s the fact that we got stuck in the Middle East of all places, and maybe it’s just bad luck.

Does anyone still believe in the IDF?

For a decade or two it seemed like it could work, but then we were proven wrong. Somewhere between the West Bank settlement of Shavei Shomron, Bnei Braq, the security zone in Southern Lebanon, Shenkin St. in Tel Aviv, and upscale Caesarea, we lost our direction and the bastards took over. Now we no longer have the energy to change anything, we don’t believe anyone; we’re already tired.

Apparently, at the end they won’t be taking over us with tanks. In two or three decades there will be no need for that apparently. And if they do attack, with ballistic missiles from Iran and Syrian Scud missiles, does anyone still believe that the IDF can handle it?

After all, this is the same IDF that was unable to organize decent backpacks for every reservist in a war that we initiated on our own. The exact same IDF that has been pulverizing Hamas and Hizbullah for 20 years now – and look how nicely pulverized they are.

The Palestinians are not playing ball either. We tried a nice approach? We got terror attacks. We hit them hard? We got terror attacks. We occupied? Terror attacks. Evacuated? Terror attacks. Once upon a time we thought we might be able to finalize some kind of a deal with them so that the buses stop exploding, but today we understand it will be like this forever.

Defeatist? Maybe. But any good poker player knows that a point comes where we need to give up, put the cards on the table, and say goodbye. A really good player knows how to do it when he still has money left for another round on another day. A not-so-good player will find himself going home after losing his pants, if he makes it home even. So do yourself a favor. Look closely at your cards, and think about how this round will be ending in your opinion.

Some readers may wonder whether I’m some kind of leftist, Arab-loving traitor who is unconcerned about making his contribution to the country. Have no worries, I already contributed, and not at the office.

I did my military service in a combat unit, I was a career officer for a while, I did reserve service, I carried loads, I was stationed at roadblocks, I guarded, I screened, I navigated, I greased, I planted landmines, I patrolled, I ambushed, and I was fired at. I know Tul Karem and Hebron better than I know Hadera and Ramat Gan.

Second-hand Israeli in good condition

And by the way, they say that thing about the frog, but they’re wrong. If you try to slyly cook a real frog, at some point it will feel that it’s too hot and jump out much before you reach boiling point. I wish for all of us the kind of healthy instincts a frog has.

You need to jump out of the pot. Move abroad, while it’s still possible. True, for Israelis “abroad” equals “America,” but you may be surprised to hear that it’s not the only option. There are several countries in this world that would be very glad to get a second-hand Israeli in good condition. Canada is one of them. So is New Zealand. There are many others.

At the end of the day, gloomy prophecies and unflattering comparisons to other countries is not what will get you to board a plane. After you debate, look into it, consult, examine the details, and do the numbers, you’ll be left with one question: Do I have the guts to do it?

Leaving Israel is a risky business. Not because of the departure itself, as after all we can always go back, and many people indeed to that – but rather, because it forces you to deal with yourself. It’s a process of the most in-depth self-examination, whether you like it or not.

Chickening out

Many people who plan to emigrate say that they’re scared they will end up missing their relatives, the scenery, soccer games on Friday afternoon. In many cases, they’re actually scared they’ll end up not missing all that. Because without it, who are you in fact? And that’s what you’ll find out when you go.

And no, those six months you spent in the Far East don’t count, because back then you knew you’ll be back and that the room at your parents’ house is still waiting for you. Now, it’s like you’re throwing yourself into space. Bungee jumping without the rope.

Those who left and never came back apparently know why they didn’t. There are about a million Israelis like that in the world today. Those who left and did return two or three years later know a few things: They know who they are and what they are. They know what they love in Israel and what they’d like to change. They know why they’re staying and they know this is the country they choose to live in, for the time being at least. But those who never tried, even though they were able to, are simply chickening out.

Listen, I don’t know what will happen in the future. Maybe any moment now the people of Israel will realize how close they are to the edge and wake up. Maybe we’ll even be able to come up with some kind of a semi-stable arrangement with our annoying neighbors, reformulate an agenda, and elect leaders for the Zionist enterprise who don’t smoke cigars or are closely associated with various millionaires and functionaries. Maybe then we’ll be able to live in a normal country. And maybe not.

Rosie Tells ABC To Screw Its 9/11 Censorship

April 26, 2007

Offers of more money, new contract turned down by hero O’Donnell as she refuses to shut up about 9/11

ABC is reporting that it has been unable to come to a contractual agreement with Rosie O’Donnell. As a result, her hosting duties on The View will come to an end mid-June.

An article by ABC news states:

So here we are a year later, and while we’ve tried to come to terms on a deal that would extend her co-hosting duties on ‘The View,’ we find ourselves unable to agree on some key elements.

Despite controversy — or maybe because of it — O’Donnell was good business for ABC, owned by the Walt Disney Co. Ratings for “The View” during February sweeps were up 15 percent in key women demographics over the same time in 2006.

We can reveal that the “key elements” that could not be agreed upon were O’Donnell’s propensity to continue to expose the fraud that is the government’s official story of 9/11 and her pledge of allegiance to 9/11 truth.

Prominent 9/11 truth sources close to O’Donnell revealed to Alex Jones weeks ago that Rosie had refused to have her first amendment rights restricted and was likely to quit on her own terms after she was asked to stay on the show by ABC with the proviso that she tone down her stance on the issue of 9/11.

Today this has been made official.

According to our source O’Donnell has described some involved with the production of The View as “Neocon gate-keepers” and found it impossible to continue as she was increasingly being heavily edited during recordings.

The same associates were also blocking Rosie from bringing on guests of her own choosing whom she believed would further expose the 9/11 cover up.

Barbara Walters, co owner of the view stated that she had no say in the contract negotiations and added on today’s show that they are prepared to be inundated with letters, and that “We have not thought about a replacement.”

O’Donnell had increased The View’s viewership by 15 percent over the course of the year.

O’Donnell caused uproar last month when she went on a rant about the many questions surrounding the collapse of Building 7, reaching around 30 million viewers in the process.

This was the largest single exposure 9/11 truth has enjoyed to date and it represented a watershed moment in the quest to bring the truth to the masses.

O’Donnell was attacked left right and centre for two weeks solid by such corporate media establishment hacks as Bill O’Reiily, Joe Scarborough and Danny Bonaduce who seriously called for her to be executed.

Despite calling for the whole issue to be marginalized, hypocrite Bill O’Reilly decided to throw his entire weight behind creating a feud with O’Donnell in a desperate attempt to boost ratings for his failing Fox News show.

ABC’s The View averages over twice as many viewers as O’Reilly’s show, reaching a total of around 30 million viewers throughout the course of the entire show. O’Donnell has introduced 600,000 new viewers since she took the helm in September 2006.

Now it seems America haters such as O’Reilly are to get their wish that O’Donnell should shut up, not because of their own ill informed outbursts but because Rosie has chosen freedom of speech over media control.

The announcement comes on the day when The View is taping a show that features several 9/11 first responders, victims of a government cover-up that allowed them to breathe deadly toxic dust at ground zero.

Rosie is purportedly sick and tired of the very parties who covered-up the toxic dust scandal then claiming the mantle of 9/11 victims in order to smear anyone who asks questions about the events of that day. O’Donnell is aware of the fact that the majority of the victim’s family members now believe there is an ongoing cover-up surrounding 9/11.

Our source has also revealed that O’Donnell was prepared to invite numerous other guests on The View, including high profile members of the 9/11 truth movement whom she has been in meetings with for the past six months.

We hope to reveal more as and when Rosie’s delicate situation with ABC allows. What is clear is at this point is that O’Donnell will return to television in the near future uncensored.

I Am A holocaust Denier and I Am Unafraid

April 26, 2007

By Curt Maynard

Now why would anyone entitle their essay, “I am holocaust denier?” Well allow me to explain. First off, I don ‘t deny that Jews were ostracized and persecuted by the National Socialists in the 1930s and 1940s, I freely acknowledge that fact. I don’t deny that hundreds of thousands were sent to “concentration camps,” in Germany, Austria, France and Poland. I don’t deny that International Jewry was viewed as problematic and parasitic by many Europeans in the 1930s and 1940s and I don’t deny that many Jews lost their lives during the Second World War.
What I do deny is that six million died, I refuse to accept that number, primarily because that is what I am suppose to believe. I am holocaust denier, because many cowardly European governments throw their own people in prison for questioning [not denying] the holocaust – none of them [not one] deny that the Nazis persecuted and excluded Jews prior to and during the Second World War, they do however question some of the more unlikely stories associated with the so called holocaust and for that reason, the media, which as you know [and you know you know] is disproportionately under the thumb of Zionist Jews.

Canada, and many European countries, including France, Germany, and Austria throw their own people in prison for questioning some of the most improbable assertions associated with the holocaust from some of the most dubious witnesses and sources. A few examples are listed below – bear in mind as you read them that some of these examples were entered into the court record, provided by alleged “eyewitnesses” used to convict [and thus justify the execution of] Nazi leaders for crimes against humanity during the Nuremberg Trials immediately following WWII.

Discarding your emotional knee-jerk response, how likely do you really think it is that any of the below examples actually occurred?

The bad evil Nazis deprived the poor suffering Jew of pet companionship

Bad, bad, bad German soldier tore baby in half with bare hands before the eyes of the mother [Physically IMPOSSIBLE]

Henry Kissinger’s relatives turned into soap [The soap story is no longer accepted as true, even by the purveyors of the holocaust story - Yehuda Bauer, who is Jewish and perhaps the best known holocaust historian alive today, states that the story is false]

The New York Times states that 1.5 million Jews died in the gas chambers at Majdanek [Unfortunately for the Times, historians, even Jewish historians as well as the “official Auschwitz Museum,“ have downgraded the actual number of Jews killed at Majdanek by almost 95%]

Memorial Plaque claiming that 4 million Jews died at Auschwitz quietly changed in 1989 to 1.5 million [What happened to the other 2.5 million?]

The bad, evil Nazis electrified a floor in order to kill Jews [Completely laughable]

The bad, naughty Nazis used an atomic bomb to incinerate Jews at Auschwitz [Don’t laugh, this was actual testimony given at the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg and used as justification to hang real people for crimes they never committed].

Geysers of Jewish blood spurted out of the ground for MONTHS after the killing [Yeah right - blood coagulates [clots] very quickly, that’s why we don’t bleed to death from small cuts].

A River that runs red with Jewish blood [literally according to the St Petersburg Times]

Mainstream media runs story of Jew that survived being gassed six times – “maybe children resist better,” stated “survivor.” [Fact - they don’t - it takes less gas to kill a child]

Pedal actuated brain bashing machine at Sachsenhausen [Funny how those “industrious Germans” found it necessary to employ a “pedal actuated” implement of murder].

I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. The fact of the matter is though, if you were to suggest that any of the above stories were false, even questionable, you’d be sent to prison in Canada, Germany, Austria, France and a number of other European countries – you’d be a holocaust denier too.

It is for this reason and no other that I am now coming forward and declaring myself a holocaust denier. I refuse to be cowed by foreign governments, including the state of Israel that has passed a law in which it declares itself as having the right to prosecute so-called holocaust deniers living anywhere in the world, including here in the United States, our Constitution and right of free speech be damned! I refuse to surrender my own intellectual integrity any longer to cowardly academics/scholars that refuse to allow their students to study the holocaust utilizing any and all sources – I have myself been victimized by these cowards and liars – I’ve had to produce the historical garbage they wanted in order to acquire my well deserved degrees – the truth is, their cowardice is rampant – we have no reason to ever expect much from them and every reason to expel them from academia once the truth becomes widely known and accepted.
I declare myself a holocaust denier, not because I doubt that the Nazis ostracized and persecuted Jews during the Second World War, but because I have a responsibility to side with those that wish to tell you about the above – to show you the voluminous amount of material out there that masquerades as evidence, but contradicts itself, refutes itself, and is disproved by real facts, scientific facts, by reality! The holocaust story as you are aware of it is false, it has been distorted, misconstrued, frequently fabricated, and often based on nothing more than fantastic lies. I am a holocaust denier, because Israel says I can’t be. I am a holocaust denier because Germany, Austria and France have thrown tens of thousands of people in prison for nothing more than questioning some very questionable aspects of the “official” tale. I am a holocaust denier, because I known great men like Ernst Zundel, David Irving, Germar Rudolf, Siegfried Verbeke, Horst Mahler, Robert Faurrison, and thousands upon thousands of others are guilty of nothing more than trying to acquaint you with facts that the Zionist media and complicit western governments refuse to allow you to see. I am a holocaust denier because I shouldn’t be, at least according to the “programming,” each and every one of us is subjected to from the time we are born until the moment of our death. I am a holocaust denier, because I am unafraid of the consequences – I know I am fighting the good fight and I know honest historical revisionism will win in the end. Truth always prevails!

I am a holocaust denier, Israel and Zionism be damned!
