Muslims and 7/7

Police carry out an anti-terror raid in London and (below) the 7/7 bus bomb blast in Tavistock Square

Yesterday British papers were filled with articles reporting the Channel 4 poll of British Muslims.

Here are some of the headlines with brief excerpts:

Muslims: MI5 Behind 7/7

The poll for Channel 4 News found 24 per cent of UK Muslims thought the Government or bodies such as MI5 were “involved in some way”. Fifty-two per cent of 500 Muslims asked also think the security services “made up” evidence against the four bombers who killed 52 people. And 68 per cent said the Muslim community does not bear responsibility for the emergence of extremists in the UK.

Muslims: ‘Bombers Innocent’

Over half of Muslims believe the security services have made up evidence to convict terror suspects.

The poll, indicating opinions among the estimated three million Muslims in Britain, was conducted for Channel 4 News.

A quarter of Britain’s two million Muslims believe Government agents staged the July 7 suicide bombings, a new survey has found.

They think the four men named as the killers of 52 passengers on the London transport system were not responsible for the attacks.

The poll, for Channel 4 News, discovered that conspiracy theories about July 7 are rife among Muslims – similar to those about the 9/11 attacks in the United States.

24% of Muslims think 7/7 raids were MI5 plot

Tory MP Greg Hands said he found the survey “extremely worrying”, adding: “There needs to be a reality check among those who have given their responses to this poll.

Are you kidding me? Reality check my ass!!

Just one simple question before I wrap up this post:

The Sun Online mentioned that British Muslims are 3 million while The Telegraph reported that British Muslims are 2 millions. Where is the missed million? And why their numbers are so hugely different there?
