Hiroshima and Nagasaki are begging you to stop the U.S. before it nukes Iran

The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuclear attacks during World War II against the Empire of Japan by the United States of America under US President Harry S. Truman. On August 6, 1945, the nuclear weaponLittle Boy” was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, followed on August 9, 1945 by the detonation of the “Fat Man” nuclear bomb over Nagasaki. They were the only instances of the use of nuclear weapons in warfare.

In estimating the number of deaths caused by the attacks, there are several factors that make it difficult to arrive at reliable figures: inadequacies in the records given the confusion of the times, the many victims who died months or years after the bombing as a result of radiation exposure, and the pressure to either exaggerate or minimize the numbers, depending upon political agenda. That said, it is estimated that as many as 140,000 had died in Hiroshima by the bomb and its associated effects,[1][2][3] with the estimate for Nagasaki roughly 74,000.[4] In both cities, the overwhelming majority of the deaths were those of civilians.

The role of the bombings in Japan’s surrender, as well as the effects and justification of them, has been subject to much debate. In the U.S., the prevailing view is that the bombings ended the war months sooner than would otherwise have been the case, saving many lives that would have been lost on both sides if the planned invasion of Japan had taken place.[5] In Japan, the prevailing view is that the bombings were unjustified, and that knowingly inflicting harm of this magnitude on civilians was inherently immoral.[6]

On August 15, 1945 Japan announced its surrender to the Allied Powers, signing the Instrument of Surrender on September 2 which officially ended World War II. Furthermore, the experience of bombing led post-war Japan to adopt Three Non-Nuclear Principles, which forbids Japan from nuclear armament.

The above is the story from a political point of view.

Here is the story from another point of view:

The mushroom cloud over Hiroshima after the dropping of Little Boy.

The Fat Man mushroom cloud resulting from the nuclear explosion over Nagasaki rises 18 km (11 mi, 60,000 ft) into the air from the hypocenter.

The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki killed about 250.000 people and became the most dreadful slaughter of civilians in modern history. However, for many years there was a curious gap in the photographic records. Although the names of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were incised into our memories, there were few pictures to accompany them. Even today, the image in our minds is a mixture of devastated landscapes and shattered buildings. Shocking images of the ruins, but where were the victims?

The American occupation forces imposed strict censorship on Japan, prohibiting anything “that might, directly or by inference, disturb public tranquility” and used it to prohibit all pictures of the bombed cities. The pictures remained classified ‘top secret’ for many years. Some of the images have been published later by different means, but it’s not usual to see them all together. This is the horror they didn’t want us to see, and that we must NEVER forget:

1. SignalsAll the watches found in the ground zero were stopped at 8:15 am, the time of the explosion.

Within a certain distance from the site of explosion, the heat was so intense that practically everything was vaporised. The shadows of the parapets were imprinted on the road surface of the Yorozuyo Bridge, 1/2 of a mile south-southwest of the hypocenter. Besides, in Hiroshima, all that was left of some humans, sitting on stone benches near the centre of explosion, was their outlines. The photograph bellow shows the stone steps of a Bank where a person was incinerated by the heat rays.
2. The massacre

On August 6, 1945, 8.15 am, the uranium atom bomb exploded 580 metres above the city of Hiroshima with a blinding flash, creating a giant fireball and sending surface temperatures to 4,000C. Fierce heat rays and radiation burst out in every direction, unleashing a high pressure shockwave, vaporising tens of thousands of people and animals, melting buildings and streetcars, reducing a 400-year-old city to dust.

Housewives and children were incinerated instantly or paralysed in their daily routines, their internal organs boiled and their bones charred into brittle charcoal.

Beneath the center of the explosion, temperatures were hot enough to melt concrete and steel. Within seconds, 75,000 people had been killed or fatally injured with 65% of the casualties nine years of age and younger.

Radiation deaths were still occurring in large numbers in the following days. “For no apparent reason their health began to fail. They lost appetite. Their hair fell out. Bluish spots appeared on their bodies. And then bleeding began from the ears, nose and mouth”.

Doctors “gave their patients Vitamin A injections. The results were horrible. The flesh started rotting from the hole caused by the injection of the needle. And in every case the victim died”.

This photograph shows an eyeball of an A-bomb victim who got an atomic bomb cataract. There is opacity near the center of the eyeball.

3. Hibakusha

Hibakusha is the term widely used in Japan referring to victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Japanese word translates literally to “explosion-affected people”.

They and their children were (and still are) victims of severe discrimination due to lack of knowledge about the consequences of radiation sickness, which people believed to be hereditary or even contagious.

Many of them were fired from their jobs. Hibakusha women never got married, as many feared they would give birth to deformed children. Men suffered discrimination too. “Nobody wanted to marry someone who might die in a couple of years”.

Here is a couple of videos documenting the disaster:

Now, who do you think is the real threat to the world?

History documents who the real terrorist is and who the one that uses FEAR as his main policy is.

Did you hear of any country other than the United States that used the atomic bomb?

So, it`s ok for the United States and Israel to have the nuclear weapon and it`s “not” ok if any other country has that kind of weapon?

Don`t tell me that the United States is promoting peace because I am going to put my hands on my ears. I am not going to listen but I am going to watch because actions speak louder than words and what I`ve seen till now is an unquestionable proof that the United States is the real threat to this world following Mother Israel`s orders and controlled by Brothers Zionists and neoconservatives.

What a big obnoxious family!!!

This is an interesting post, but then you ruin any point you could have made by bringing out your agenda at the end (Zionists etc.) as well as by quoting the quran in the heading.

I agree wholeheartedly that the US is a serious threat to world peace. And I appreciate that the atomic bombings in 1945 were about expanding an empire and not about ending a war.

But I can also see that the rampant spread of Islam (and other religions) is also a threat to world peace. Any way of thinking that preaches respecting an arbitrary set of rules, instead of using our brains, is only making people more stupid and malleable, and makes it even more likely that horrible events like Hiroshima and Nagasaki will happen again in the future.

Peace and Justice can never be preached through religions, whether it be Christianity or Islam or anything else. Only free thinking can do that.

  2. joanie Says:

good post. i’ve read about this, have seen a few pictures, but never ones like these.
and i don’t think “free thinking” is the way to “preach peace and justice.”

why can’t people see how politically horrible America has been in the last century to other “races,” creeds and nations?

i respect everyone, including Americans, but i do not respect the nonsense that is being preached to them; such as “America is fighting for peace and freedom.” Since when USA was threatned?

The threat is not to America, it is to the rest of the world, and currently it’s especially to to any brown-skinned, arab, arab-named, or muslim person on plane or land.

    it’s completely twisted.

  3. paddyK Says:

Joanie: I basically agree with everything you say. But the US and its actions can be proved wrong quite easily using logic and evidence; I believe that once you start bringing even a tinge of religon into the argument, then the argument falls flat on its face.

You don’t think that thinking freely and rationally, using the available evidence is the way to “preach peace and justice”? Well I really don’t see another way to do it.

To repeat: I agree that the US is brutal, decietful and a danger to eveybody, and I agree also that the whole “fighting for peace and freedom” thing is bullshit, and simply a reason for the US to do whatever it wants. The US and its policies are a danger to everybody, everywhere. I absolutely agree on that.

But we don’t need to invoke religous doctrine to get that point across – the facts should and do speak for themselves.

Hmm doesn’t seem to be much about islam here.
so why would one seek out pictures of mutilated corpes from a half century ago, to talk of Islam or the threats against Islmic
    culture of today?
    the are unrelated.
    Because he is Exploited them.
this Blog is not about faith, truth or culture, its about Politics.
Propa Ganda is the tool of dogmatics and pragmatics
    has nothing to with spiriuality.
lots of lies here your no different then any government in recent history.
keep your hands covering ears my friend,
but uncover your fists from your heart,
keep your pick and choose revisionist history
and stop exploiting the dead for your convience.
Grow up . Be man. Lots of people are suffering, In Palestine, Darfur, and even America.

  5. Ahmed Ismail Says:

Cafe Dog, in the above article, I didn`t refer to Islam. I was stating facts about innocent people who got mutilated for no reason whatsoever. So, if you think I am relating Islam to this, you are absolutely wrong. Was it not a truth that the U.S.A. A-Bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Think about it and go back in time. The U.S.A. is the only country that used that weapon against humans.
Another thing is that I was relating this to Zionism and talking about the real threat of Zionism and its horrible influence on the whole world.
So, believe whatever you want but I am not a propaganda machine. I am not lying here. These are all facts. What is not a fact is that six million Jews were killed in that so-called Holocaust. Six million. Official records proved that that number is absolutely wrong. I guess you know now who the liar is and who the propagandist is.
    Have a good time, Sir.

  6. Cafe dog Says:

I apologize for my poor reading but:
you left out 50 years of history including thef fact:
The Soviets were secretly putting Nukes 100 miles of the coast of America in 1962 and there was no nuclear war.
in over fity years the U.S like everybody else, didnt use NUkes.
Why would anybody who lived through the Cold war allow A Nuclear assualt against IraQ, today?
THere are certainly knucleheads in America, But the overwelming population of Americans would be outrage at the Idea of throwing nukes at anybody.
My beef with this post is this.
You can’t pull something out of History out of contects and connect it with the present and call it “truth”
If I used Bloody paintings of the Crusades to porteay Christians or muslims today,
Denying 1000 years of history I wouldn’t be accurately portraying either group
Based on that, the dead calling out for no nukes against Iran,
Unless you actually heard them. Is just for dramatic effect, isn’t it.
This is the same tactics governments use in Propa Ganda everywhere.
Its not that different then Beer commercials in America, come to think of it.
Except they not showing pic of the dead.
    so what are you selling?

  7. Ahmed Ismail Says:

Cafe Dog, for the hundred time, I am selling the truth whether it relates to the past or the present. Our points of view are different and I respect that. But I see the past as part of our present because the past is what shaped our present.
The Holocaust happened more than 50 years ago and still the Holocaust victims and their relatives asking for reparation. They still hate Germans while current Germans are innocent of what Nazis committed. They still hold conferences discussing the Holocaust. Obvioulsy, Jews who are allegedly thought to be the chosen people, are doing the same thing. The difference is that I am here selling the “truth” while they are selling everything that is opposite to that truth.

For those who don’t belive America was ever threatened, Must not know what the Cold War was.
the world came very close to being Anilated during the Cuban Missle Crisis.
Those who don’t know history, are condemned to repeat it.

  9. Kate Pascoe Says:

Yes, and did you know that the Kennedy inner circel contemplated shoting down a planeload of US students to give them the excuse to invade Cuba?

Peace studies academic Johann Galtung predicted at the beginning of the nineties that because of the end of the cold war the next “enemy” the US would discovered would be those in the Middle East. It came to pass exactly as he predicted, because the recent culture of the US has always been to look for an enemy to justify their foreign policy.

The US also granted immunity from prosecution for the head scientist and perpetuator of biological weapons experiments in China during WWII in exchange for his data because they wanted to develop their own weapons and have been doing so(according to the Chinese).

However I have recently come to believe that the US is using Israel to justify their profit from weapons rather than ZIonists using the US. We should all call for an acceptable peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.

On the other side of things, I do not believe ordinary Japanese are fully cognizant of the suffering caused by their miltary during WWII. There is paper evidence that in Taiwan and other prisoner of war camps the plan was to execute all prisoners at war end. If the war had not ended so quickly they would have arrived out this plan more than they did. The Chinese also believe the Japanese unit in Harbin had planned to use biological weapons against the allies (they had accumulated quite a stockpile) but that because of the abrupt end to the war they could not carry out their plan.

Ordinary people are always the victims in war and we should ahor all taking of life.
