Follow the money and look who they're in bed with : neocons. I wonder if all these fans of this "council" would welcome a "Council of Ex-Jews" who demonize Judaism...

Your heading - "A Cheap Way To Convince Ex-Muslims Into Joining The War on Islam" - is wrong. Maryam Namazie campaigns against the war for oil (which you, also erroneously, refer to as a war on Islam).

The Council is about supporting apostates under threat and rejecting political Islam. The world is more complicated - it is infantile to identify a lack of belief in the supernatural (organised and public because of religious threats) with waging war against the people of Iraq or any other majority-Muslim population.

As an American it's hard to imagine living in a place that doesn't allow you to speak freely and disagree with the government and religious establishments. I don't find this cheap or outrageous in the least. Government should be secular for the most part, and focus on providing education, infrastructure, defense, public services, and basic social services. If governments try to control how to think and what to believe and how to act (ie. by murdering 'apostates') then serious human rights issues arise.
There isn't one rule on this list that would prevent a Muslim from practicing their religion.
