Bush has made it clear.
He is going to attack Iran before he leaves office
Why?
The answer is simple
but you will NEVER hear it in the US news media..
Former U.S. Marine Corps officer and UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter talks about the unique influence that the Israel war lobby has on the U.S. news media and U.S. foreign policy. Can anything be done to turn this around?
Ritter has written an important new book “Waging Peace” which answers this question realistically and comprehensively.
It’s the peace manual for our times.
By they way, please note that there is a HUGE difference between the Israeli War Lobby (an alliance of the Israeli war party and corrupt politicians in the US) and Israelis, Jews, and even Zionists.
Many Israelis oppose the behavior of their government as do many Jews in the United States and elsewhere. Also, many “Zionists” are naive people whose idealism has been co-opted by corrupt elements.
To talk of “Israel”, “Jews” and even “Zionists” as the problem is ignorant and counterproductive. It is the Israeli war party and their supporters in the US that is the problem.

[...] Who is driving the war on Iran? Who is driving the war on Iran? [...]

Glen Greenwald’s blog deals with the issue of dual loyalties among some American Jews and the crisis with Iran, and concludes this way:
“Whether Iran is really a threat to the U.S. (as opposed to Israel) is an absolutely critical matter to examine. It’s just not tolerable to allow polemicists from Commentary and Weekly Standard to run around using the “dual loyalty” argument and “anti-semitism” smear to try to manipulate American Jews into voting for McCain and supporting hard-line policies toward Iran, while simultaneously screaming “anti-Semite” at those who argue that an attack on Iran would serve (and is motivated by) Israeli interests, not America’s interests. That is a perfectly legitimate issue — a central issue — to be freely discussed.
Like everyone else, I don’t know whether there is really any serious intent in the Bush administration to initiate some sort of attack on Iran (many very credible analysts highly doubt it will happen). But the risk is substantial enough — and the situation is dangerous enough — that free and open debate about that topic is critical. A prerequisite to such debate is preventing war-hungry, right-wing advocates from employing duplicitous and manipulative claims of “anti-semitism” and “dual loyalty” to stifle such discussions and intimidate opponents of a war-seeking approach to Iran.”

Native ppl??
I believe that if everybody will watch himself, the world will be a better place.
until now i didn’t hear Israel say it will destroy another country, fight the west, kill everybody, and many things Iran’s president say.
I understand that Persian people doesn’t want war, but according to the statements from there, there is a threat to the world.
US won’t go alone to war. it needs help and support from other countries including Arab world. And even Arab countries are afraid from Iran plans. Did you ask yourself why? i guess there is a reason why Arab countries afraid Iran much more then Israel.
don’t ignore hmadinejad threats .
Why do you think Europe and Middle east should agree to their Capitals being targeted by atomic missiles while he says he is going to be aggressive?
don’t be naive.
